WorldWideWomen is the first-ever global online resource directory for women and girls around the world. We launched two years ago with over 6,000 listings of organizations and services exclusively for women in 23 cities and 13 countries. We bring our website to life through our annual Girls’ Festivals– a day of power and possibility for thousands of girls and their families. Our three festivals to date have attracted over 10,000 attendees. Our first festivals have all been held in the San Francisco Bay Area, but our vision is to take the program on the road to major cities around the world. Our mission is to connect women and girls to valuable organizations and services that support and empower their lives. Through our online directory of resources and our local festivals, we bring inspiration, information, and powerful life-changing connections to women worldwide.

Margarise Correa, Founder, BayBrazil
Margarise founded BayBrazil in 2010 to serve as a source of information and assist business communities in Silicon Valley and Brazil to establish bi-lateral ties. For that, she’s been creating a series of programs to nurture entrepreneurial ecosystems and address critical issues of doing global business. She works with several organizations to encourage networking among the Brazilian-American tech community and increase interaction & business between the two countries. Margarise holds a B.A. in Journalism from Universidade Estadual de Londrina and before moving to the Bay Area she worked seven years as a news reporter, editor and anchor at Brazilian network broadcasts TV Globo, TV Cultura and TV Bandeirantes.

Kathy Winkelman, Co-Founder, Gioia Company
Kathy values the traditions, the family life, the fun loving spirit of her Italian relationships, and the strong tradition of Old World Hospitality, fine arts and time-honored craftsmanship. Her passion is to pass the Italian heritage to future generations which is why she co-founded Gioia Company in 2006. Gioia, which means “joy” in Italian, imports handcrafted Italian ceramics, masks, and other Italian arts. Kathy is a “people person” and has expertise in building and managing programs, projects, volunteers and staff for various organizations within the education, retail, nonprofit, and healthcare industries. She is recognized in her community and among her peers for being a mentor, creative and collaborative leader and teacher, and someone who brings enjoyment for working with people and projects, and proves to be a cornerstone for Cross Cultural Entrepreneurism.

Shannon Fraser serves as an International Business Development Specialist at the U.S. Commercial Service office in Silicon Valley, where her sectors of specialization include smart grid and clean energy. In partnership with Foreign Commercial Service officers at the Embassies and Consulates worldwide, Shannon works with Silicon Valley-based companies to expand their exports to overseas markets, thereby spurring economic growth, job creation, and innovation for small-and-medium enterprises based in the Silicon Valley region.
