Learn about the latest business opportunities at VTA

VTA spends upwards of $1B+ per year for capital construction, highway programs goods and services and they are looking for women business owners to apply for some active projects. There are several opportunities for small, mid-sized and large companies. This will be a great opportunity to learn about available opportunities and gain insight on what VTA is looking for in applicants.

Cost: $15 for NAWBO members and guests of members. $20 for non-members. Registration is required. Attendees will be sent the Zoom call information after registering.

John Wesley White is the new Chief Procurement Officer for the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). With more than 20 years of diverse public and private sector experience, John is responsible for VTA’s Business Diversity Programs, Contract Compliance, Construction & Professional Services Contacts and Materials Management activities for seven (7) Warehouses supporting Light Rail, Bus, Paratransit Services and the continued extension of BART across San Jose. Mr. White has a M.S. in Acquisition & Contract Management and maintains NCMA’s Certified Professional Contract Manager and Certified Federal Contracts Manager designations and is a Greenbelt. John has been previously recognized as the MWBE Regional Advocate of the Year by both the SBA and U.S. Department of Commerce/MBDC for the Central Region of the county.
