My name is Laura Salgado, founder of Kafens. I was born and raised in Baja California, Mexico. Kafens became my inspiration for wanting to share my love for coffee with others.

While taking an entrepreneur class as I working in getting a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration, I got interested in the make and sale of a product.

In 2022, I launched my coffee business with products inspired solely through the cultural and traditional flavors of café de olla, a traditional Mexican coffee beverage. I felt the need to share café de olla flavors as these flavors not only represent my culture and tradition, but most importantly their unique aroma and taste will make you enjoy every sip you take of this bittersweet beverage.

All the names of my products, their designs and colors were inspired by the pyramids of Mexico. Our products are design to enjoy coffee from wherever you are; they can be prepared anywhere at any time for indoor and outdoor purposes.
